Formed around the songwriting of two life long friends, Dutch henry is
an Americana/Alternative Country band from West Michigan. This is a
guitar band that embraces their Midwest roots, staying true to the joy
that comes from playing this music live, and unique in the fact that
they can really play their instruments.
Drawing its name from a character in the Jimmy Stewart movie "Winchester
'73", Dutch Henry was raised on traditional country music. Roots music
runs in their blood (the father of one of its members played bass on the
cult country classic 'Psycho' by Jack Kittle). But like many
vivacious, vital offspring, after cutting their teeth on country this
band ran off on and found their own path through the music world.
Listen and you will hear that their music is rooted in country, and yet
branches off into cutting edge composition and hard-edged musical
showmanship, punch, and power. Oh yeah...these boys can play!
With fine songwriting from all of its members and a tight energetic live
show, Dutch Henry is poised to become an important player in the cause
of alternative country.
