July Fourth Fireworks - Presented by Blue Chip Casino
Summer Celebration will partner with American Fireworks Company to bring you the best fireworks display in West Michigan. American Fireworks has been setting the standards for more than 100 years when Vincenzo Sorgi left Italy to come to the United States. The now seventh generation of the Sorgi family continue to create impressive shows that are "ahead of their time."
The show is scheduled to begin
July 4, 2011 at approximately 10:20pm on Muskegon Lake with prime viewing at Heritage Landing.
The Muskegon Summer Celebration, presented by DTE Energy, announces a special pricing package for the Fourth of July geared toward those facing tough economic times. In conjunction with the Summer Celebration’s carnival, Playworld Unlimited, the festival will be offering a special combination package for unlimited carnival rides from open to close AND free admission into the evening’s concert that night for only $15 per person.
The Miller Lite Headline Artists for the evening start at 4:30 PM with local favorite,
Dutch Henry playing rock and alternative Country. Next at 5:30 PM will be up and coming Country-Rockers
Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys. Blues legend,
Smokin Joe Kubek featuring Bnois King will follow at 7:15 PM. Kubek, with his staggering arsenal of instruments, effects and technique, delivers a frenzied, flame-throwing guitar display that is tempered by the remarkable accompaniment of Bnois King's jazz influenced guitar. Wrapping up the concert performances for the evening will be the Eagles tribute band,
Hotel California - A Salute to the Eagles starting around 8:45 PM. Comprised of five respected, multi-talented top music industry professionals, Hotel California presents a dynamic exciting show saluting the music of The Eagles, a super group whose music has proven to have a staying power that few bands lay claim to. Following Hotel California will be West Michigan’s biggest Fourth of July Fireworks display starting at 10:20 PM sponsored by Blue Chip Casino and Resort. American Fireworks will return to Muskegon with another spectacular show set to music.
“We understand Muskegon County has suffered more than most during our economic downturn, so we felt this was a way to help the festival and West Michigan residents,” said carnival owner, Jeff Brady. “Last year it cost $15 alone just for the midway wristband,” said Executive Director, Joe Austin. “Now patrons not only get unlimited access to the rides on July 4, but can enjoy the concert as well. And best of all, it’s included in the Pizza Hut 8-Day Pass.”
