High Street formed in fall of 2007, when the oldest member of the band was only 10. Kurt Findling (drums) invited a few friends over to mess around on some instruments in his attic. Little brother Erik Findling (lead guitar) wasn’t going to let the fact that he was 3 years younger than the other kids in the room get in the way of rocking out. What began as a one time jam, turned into a weekly practice learning rock and roll standards.
Soon after the first instrumental session, the kids found Jenny Thompson (vocals) and things got interesting. Within a year, High Street added Billy Hennessy (rhythm guitar) and the final addition would come in early 2010 Emre Erel (bass).
High Street just finished recording their first EP “Out Of The Attic” in March of 2011 and is lined up to play numerous live shows over the next several months.
