Muskegon Summer Celebration

Nick Stevenson

An Alto, MI native, Nick grew up listening to many of the local artists he met through his neighbor. Nick picked up a guitar at the age of 5 and never stopped playing. "I always messed around, trying new things and seeing what sounded cool, but never really started writing my own music until I was about 8 years old" says Nick. Influenced by a multitude of artists ranging from Muddy Waters, Ray Lamontagne, The Rolling Stones, Counting Crows, and his manager, Michael Crittenden's band "Troll for Trout", Nick has a well rounded range of different musical genres that he loves to play and perform. Nick first made his jump into the performing artist music scene when he was 12 years old, playing small 45 minute blues and folk sets in bars. Armed with a guitar, harmonica and voice, he is backed by a drummer, bass player and a keyboard player. Nick has been performing for 6 years, and is ready to play any show he can throw together. 18 years old, Nick is trying to make his name evident in the music scene locally and nationally. Nick currently resides in Grand Rapids, MI. With plans to move to Nashville, TN next year, Nick is chasing his dream and taking very big steps to make it happen. "I just love more than anything to see my music make an impact on people. It is the most rewarding feeling to have someone come up to me after a show and shake my hand and or tell me "great job". It is almost more rewarding than having the opportunity to play the show, if that makes any sense."
